Consultation fees
Mahila Women's Clinic is a private billing practice. The following medical consultation fees apply unless a service page states a different confirmed fee.
A Medicare rebate may apply to an eligible medical consultation. The item billed depends on the service provided, the actual consultation time, the clinician and Medicare requirements.
Procedures, pathology, imaging, products, equipment and other services may involve additional costs. Relevant additional fees should be shown on the individual service page or discussed before the service is provided.
| Consultation length | Clinic fee |
|---|---|
| Less than 20 minutes | $150 |
| Up to 30 minutes | $280 |
| Up to 45 minutes | $380 |
| 60 minutes or longer | $450 |
01
Preparing for your appointment
You do not need to organise your health history perfectly before attending. If available, it may help to bring:
- 01
a list of current medicines and supplements
- 02
relevant pathology, imaging or specialist reports
- 03
a brief timeline of the main concern
- 04
dates or notes about periods and recurring symptoms
- 05
details of previous treatments and their effect
- 06
questions you want to discuss
Bring your Medicare card and any other information requested during booking.
Please tell reception or your clinician if you need a support person, interpreter, accessibility assistance or another reasonable adjustment.

02
Telehealth
Telehealth is available for selected services and patients. Whether telehealth is clinically appropriate and whether a Medicare rebate applies depend on the consultation and your individual circumstances.
Some concerns require an in-person examination, physical measurements, testing or a procedure. Your doctor may recommend an in-person appointment if the concern cannot be assessed appropriately by telehealth.

03
Results, prescriptions, referrals and documents
A follow-up appointment is generally required to discuss test results so that your clinician can explain the findings and appropriate next steps.
Repeat prescriptions, referrals, medical certificates and other clinical documents also require an appointment. Requests cannot be assessed or provided through social media or email.
The exact appointment and fee requirements should be confirmed with reception when booking.

04
Cancellations and late arrival
Mahila currently requires at least 12 hours' notice if you cannot attend your appointment. A cancellation fee applies to missed appointments and cancellations made with less than the required notice. Cancellation fees do not attract a Medicare rebate.
If you arrive more than five minutes late, the clinician will decide whether there is enough time to proceed safely. A shortened consultation may not allow every concern to be addressed.

05
Booking and communication
Appointments can be made through Mahila's online booking link, by telephone or in person.
Mahila does not accept appointment requests or provide individual medical advice through social media or email.
SMS reminders may be offered as a courtesy. Patients remain responsible for attending, changing or cancelling their appointments within the required notice period.

06

Mahila is not an emergency service. Email, website enquiries and social media are not monitored for urgent medical concerns.
