Appointments and services

  • No. If you are unsure where your symptoms fit, book a general women's health appointment and begin with what you have noticed. Choose enough time to discuss the number and complexity of your concerns.

Medical consultation fees

Mahila Women's Clinic is a private billing practice. The following medical consultation fees apply unless a service page states a different confirmed fee.

A Medicare rebate may apply to an eligible medical consultation. The item billed depends on the service provided, the actual consultation time, the clinician and Medicare requirements.

Procedures, pathology, imaging, products, equipment and other services may involve additional costs. Relevant additional fees should be shown on the individual service page or discussed before the service is provided.

Fees and Medicare

  • Mahila is a private billing practice. Full payment is required on the day of the appointment.

Preparing for your appointment

  • If available, bring your Medicare card, a list of medicines and supplements, relevant pathology or imaging, specialist reports and brief notes about the concern you want to discuss.

Telehealth

  • Yes, telehealth is available for selected services and patients. Some concerns require an in-person examination, measurement, test or procedure.

Results, prescriptions and communication

  • A follow-up appointment is generally required so your clinician can explain the results and appropriate next steps. Mahila does not provide clinical interpretation through social media.

Clinic policies

  • Mahila currently requires at least 12 hours' notice. A fee applies to missed appointments and late cancellations.
